gavin turns one

I think it's official. Birthday parties are in my top five favourite things to shoot. How could they not be?! Balloons, cute babies, toys... CAKE!

Speaking of cute babies, holy smokes. Get a load of the birthday boy. Gavin is one CU-u-u-u-te little boy. He has these big eyes as blue as the sky and these tiny two teeth poking up behind his bottom lip and a button nose and all I can say is, I hope his parents kept the blue print when they made him! He was so chill taking everything in - I could have stayed all day just taking pictures of him and his multitude of adorable expressions.

And oh, Gavin's mommy is super talented too. Check out her animal cake - handmade! I can't even imagine all the hours that went into it - check out the lion's mane and the zebra's stripes. The details are crazy and she was like, "no big deal." I think it deserves a huge shout-out.
