Well, well, well... I have been neglecting the old blog-a-roo as of late. But I do have some good news. In the six days since I've last blogged, something amazing has happened. Wait for it.

I am now the proud owner of a flash! Yes sir, a wicked SB800 Nikon Flash. Can I hear a woot?

Look at these pictures, taken INDOORS at NIGHT... with no digital manipulation!! I need practice of course, but I'm getting the hang of it and I feel like my whole world just opened up as wide as the sky. I'm super stoked... Yay flash!

I love the book Last-Minute Patchwork & Quilted Gifts by Joelle Hoverson. Today I made a bag from her "A Simple Tote" pattern. What a pleasant way to while away the hours of a rainy afternoon.
