This blog post is dedicated to the wonderful people I call friends. These beautiful people make life magical. Why don't you click here and shed a tear while you think about how amazing your friends are too. xoxo.

I don't think you need me to tell you how in love these two are, the pictures tell the story loud and clear. I especially like the first one - I think it's dead sexy with a very intense energy... when I first saw it, I got goosebumps!
Congratulations Megan and Lg - I'm super stoked to shoot your wedding in April!
I have a massive amount of editing to catch up on so over the course of the next few days, I'm going to be posting a lot. Yay!
Remember Mary Jane & Corey? I have a few more images to share from their lovely backyard wedding. I absolutely adore the first one of Mary Jane, it's so romantic and fairy-tale-ish. And the last one of the little boy makes me smile - just look at that face! How could you not burst into a grin?!
Also, it appears I am on a black & white kick tonight...
This Sunday I was invited to tag along with Eric as a second shooter for Denise & Trevor's beautiful backyard wedding.
Working as a second shooter is great because there is essentially no pressure. I don't have to worry about missing the perfect shot of the bride and groom kissing or even blowing the exposure on the bride's dress. Nope. I just had to take pictures of people enjoying themselves and try my best to capture those little moments that the couple might miss during the whirlwind of their wedding, but are grateful to see afterward.
It's so fascinating to be on the peripheral of such an intimate day. I had never met anyone, but yet there I was - thrown into a mixture of family and friends who were sharing such a beautiful celebration of love and happiness. I wanted to jump up and down and congratulate Denise and Trevor too. I'm not gonna lie and say a tear or two didn't escape during their very touching ceremony.
So the results of my day are pretty much images of people. But I think wedding snapshots are unique in that everyone looks their very best (and let me tell you, this was one group of goooood lookin' people!) and everyone is happy. I had a lot of fun and am grateful to Eric for giving me the opportunity to practice! xo.
Waiting patiently for things to get started. This guy was so cool and relaxed.
The love was contagious! Sharing a special moment...
Giving the nod to start the music.
Making sure there are pictures for the family photo album...
And keeping kids entertained during the ceremony...
I loved all the hugging and crying... it's wonderful to see such uninhibited celebration!
The toast to the bride and groom... and a shot of something that may have gone unnoticed perhaps... :)
And lastly, what's a wedding without adorable children!?
All wedding photographer's have to start somewhere. And somewhere is a scary, scary place. Unless you're taking pictures for Mary Jane and Corey. These two are the most laid-back, easy-going couple of which a first-time wedding photographer's dreams are made.
They got married on a balmy evening in their backyard a week ago today. The strings of lights cast a romantic glow over an evening filled with lots of love and lots of dancing. It was a pleasure to be part of their special day.
Mary Jane and Corey: I hope you enjoy your pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them. Thanks for trusting me to document your beautiful day. If all weddings are going to be like yours, I can consider myself a very lucky girl. :)
